Celebrating One Year of HAS Solutions: A Year of Growth, Success, and Client Wins

As I sit down to reflect on the first year of HAS Solutions, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. What started as a dream has grown into a thriving business dedicated to helping other businesses streamline their operations, focus on what they do best, and achieve their goals.

The Journey Begins

One year ago, I launched HAS Solutions with a simple mission: to alleviate the burden of day-to-day tasks for my clients, allowing them to concentrate on their core strengths and the growth of their businesses. The journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with challenges, learning opportunities, and, most importantly, successes that I share with each of my clients.

Client Success Stories

Throughout this year, I’ve had the privilege of working with an incredible array of clients, each with unique needs and aspirations. From creating tailored websites that elevate online presence to optimizing existing systems for better performance, my work has always been about finding solutions that drive results.

  • Client Success Story 1 – Over the past month, I had the pleasure of working with my client, Katie Lucas, who had been successfully selling her custom apparel items through her Facebook group, KDLu Designs, for several years. However, relying solely on a social media platform posed certain risks, especially after experiencing a Facebook outage earlier this year that temporarily halted her sales.Together, we explored the benefits of having a dedicated e-commerce website to expand her business’s reach and ensure stability. By building her a new online store, we not only opened up new opportunities for growth but also provided a safeguard for her business—ensuring that, even if Facebook goes down again, her sales can continue uninterrupted. Feel free to join her FB group, linked above, to see the new website reveal later this week.

  • Client Success Story 2 – I recently had the privilege of connecting with my newest client, Lori Gasca, a true pillar in our local business community, especially for women entrepreneurs. Lori is the driving force behind The Growth Summit, an annual event that brings together women from across the area to learn, network, and grow. She reached out to me to support her in planning, implementing, and managing the follow-up for the upcoming Growth Summit, scheduled for January 24, 2025.So far, I’ve assisted Lori by organizing various aspects of the event—whether that’s streamlining programs she already had in place or setting up new systems to optimize the planning process. I’ve also conducted research on key elements needed for the event, reached out to past participants, and established connections with new contacts. There’s still plenty of work to be done as we approach the event, but I’m thrilled to be a part of Lori’s team, helping to set the stage for a successful and impactful summit.

If you’re in the Houston area and interested in attending The Growth Summit in January, tickets are on sale now! You can find more details at The Growth Summit’s website, vendor spots are also available. If you want to learn more about Lori and the wonderful work she is doing, please visit her website.

  • Client Success Story 3 – One of my clients is a talented business consultant who specializes in helping companies identify areas for improvement to boost sales and revenue. His expertise lies in stepping into organizations, analyzing their operations, and offering strategic advice on how to optimize their processes for better results.

I’ve had the pleasure of supporting him by creating and refining Word documents and PowerPoint presentations that he uses to communicate his insights to his clients. Whether it’s crafting compelling reports or designing impactful slides, I’ve been able to contribute to his mission of driving success for the businesses he consults.

These are just a few examples of the work I’ve done over the last year, but they represent the heart of what HAS Solutions is all about—partnering with businesses to unlock their full potential.

I look forward to finding new ways of serving my clients even better, the next year promises to be even more exciting.

What is a CRM System?

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are essential tools for small businesses and entrepreneurs looking to streamline their operations and improve customer interactions. By centralizing customer information, CRMs allow for efficient tracking of interactions, preferences, and purchase history, enabling businesses to provide personalized and timely service. This enhanced level of organization not only improves customer satisfaction but also boosts sales and retention rates.

Moreover, CRMs offer valuable insights through analytics and reporting features, helping business owners make informed decisions and identify growth opportunities. Automated tasks such as follow-up emails and reminders free up time, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on core activities like innovation and expansion. Overall, implementing a CRM can lead to increased efficiency, better customer relationships, and sustainable business growth. What CRM do you use?

Passion vs. Progress

I love that my clients are all entrepreneurs. They speak about their ventures with a tenderness usually reserved for loved ones, pouring their hearts and souls into their businesses. They hustle, they grind, they sacrifice sleep and personal time, all fueled by the relentless pursuit of their vision.

Unfortunately, the clock ticks relentlessly, and despite their tireless efforts, many entrepreneurs feel like they’re stuck in quicksand. The to-do list stretches like an endless road, the hours melt away, and the nagging feeling of unproductivity gnaws at their souls. They’re convinced they’re spinning their wheels, that their efforts are scattered like confetti in a hurricane.

Exhaustion, the constant companion. This internal conflict, a paradox of passion and progress, can be crushing. It breeds doubt, drains motivation, and makes even the most enthusiastic entrepreneurs question their choices.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

It’s not about working harder, it’s about working smarter.

Here’s your action plan:

1. Tame the “shiny object” syndrome: Stop bouncing between 15 things at once. Clarity is your compass. Take time to craft measurable goals you can articulate in your sleep. Want $20,000 more revenue? 5 new clients? 15 hours of freedom per week? Define it, own it, and let it guide your path.

2. Plot your path: Your goal is the destination, your action plan is the road. Identify the specific activities like: delegating work, attending more networking events, sending out a monthly newsletter, booking 1:1 meetings, or other things that will propel you towards your objective. Be deliberate, be strategic. This is where your time gets invested.

3. Build your support system: Track your progress, don’t rely on mental gymnastics. Use a spreadsheet to track monthly networking events, new connections, and newsletter releases. Transparency is key, adjustments are inevitable.

4. Master the art of saying “no”: Your goals are your lighthouse, let them guide your decisions. If a request doesn’t align, politely decline. The “bright idea” that diverts you from your path, however tempting, needs a gentle “not now.”

Remember:

  • Quietly map your goals and plans. Separate it from your daily grind.
  • Clarity is key. No ambiguity, just laser focus.
  • Stick with it. When energy dips, your goals are your anchor.
  • Feed your tracking systems. Updates fuel your course corrections.

The End Result?

You’ll feel focused, fulfilled, and surprisingly, less exhausted. You’ll see your business flourish, not just survive. You’ll rediscover the joy of creation, the thrill of progress, and the satisfaction of knowing you’re building something truly remarkable.

Sounds pretty good, right?

Helpful Hints for the New Year

Clean up your Inbox – We all go through different phases in life. Over the years our interests change; we gain new interests, or lose old ones. There are times when we are job hunting or starting a new business. Many times we will join a new email list or a newsletter list and those can take up a lot of space in our inboxes over the years. This is a great time to go thru and clean out old things we don’t need or unsubscribe from content that is no longer pertinent to our day to day life.

Organize your finances – Do you use spreadsheets to keep track of your business expenses throughout the year? Now is great time to prepare new sheets for the new year. Tax season is around the corner getting your documents in order now so you’re not struggling in a couple months can be extremely helpful.

Organize your files – I like to take time each month and organize my folders, both paper in my office and the digital on my computer. Now is great time to get those cleaned up so you can start fresh. I find that it really helps when things are already in order to keep them in order throughout the year.

Taking care of these things now will give you a great start to 2024.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see where this year takes us!

Virtual Assistant vs Employee

Someone recently asked me why they should hire a virtual assistant instead of a full-time employee, so I thought I’d take the time to share the benefits with you in this edition of my newsletter. So let’s start with the basics. What is a virtual assistant? A virtual assistant is an independent contractor who provides administrative services to clients working outside the client’s office.

There are many benefits to hiring a virtual assistant (VA). Here are just a few of the most compelling benefits:

Improved productivity and efficiency: VAs can handle a wide range of administrative tasks, freeing your time to focus on more strategic and revenue-generating activities. This can lead to a significant boost in your productivity and overall business success.

Reduced costs: Hiring a VA is often more cost-effective than hiring a traditional employee. You don’t have to pay for office space, equipment, or benefits. You also save by only paying for the hours that you need.

Access to a global talent pool: With the rise of remote work, you can now hire VAs from all over, giving you access to a wider range of skills and experience. This can be especially beneficial if you need someone with specialized expertise.

Increased flexibility: VAs can work on a variety of projects, from one-off tasks to ongoing projects, and they can be easily scaled up or down as your needs change. This gives you a lot of flexibility in how you manage your workload.

Enhanced work-life balance: Delegating tasks to a VA can help you achieve a better work-life balance by reducing stress and allowing you to free up time for personal pursuits.

Here are some specific examples of how VAs can help businesses grow:

  • Managing email and scheduling appointments: This can free up your time to focus on more important tasks, such as sales and marketing.
  • Handling social media: VAs can create and manage social media accounts, post content, and engage with followers.
  • Conducting research: VAs can research market trends, competitor information, and other topics relevant to your business.
  • Creating presentations: VAs can create professional presentations for sales pitches, investor meetings, and other events.
  • Managing customer service: VAs can respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide customer support.

If you are looking for a way to improve your productivity, reduce costs, and gain more flexibility, then hiring a virtual assistant is a great option. With the right VA, you can take your business to the new heights.
